Fun-Filled Friday: The Driving Lesson

The other day, I was picking up a cheese pizza when I saw a driving school car slowly pull up. The driver’s license is right next door. When the office was closed, people would come in and practice. I waited until they pulled and I know I was safe.

Do you remember learning how to drive? I learned the basics pretty young but I did not really drive until I was a teenager. During summer school in high school, I took the driver’s ed class as one of my electives. They gave the test at the school for the learner’s permit. And if you were 16, you have priority to road test. I did not get that chance because I just turned 15 a couple months ago.

I went to a driving school for a couple sessions so I can practice and pass the test on my first try. My instructor thought I did not know how to drive at all and I should sign up for more than a couple lessons. When I got in the car, he talks in a soft and nice voice, giving me directions. I got in very sweetly and hit the gas fast. He said Oh, you can drive. I said yes, I just need help with the test. lol… In the end,  his only complaints were that I drove too fast and both of my hands are not on the steering wheel. I think I gave him a couple gray hairs. As a teenager, it means that I was pleased with my performance. I went and passed my exam the next day.

Personally, I do not think I can teach anyone how to drive. It takes such patience and coaching. I am sure about it after I saw this video. I do not know what I would deal with a new teenaged driver. Watch for yourself and tell me what you think.
