April 1 Daily Prompt: The Social Network

Do you feel like you “get” social media, or do you just use it because that’s where all your friends and family are?

I used to think social media is a waste of time. I remember it took me years before I posted the first picture on Facebook, I never used MySpace. I was like Twitter what? I just did not how to use them.

Little by little, social media became a way for me to keep in touch with family and friends. I like to read what people are up to, see their posted pictures or hear details about other stuff they have going on.

As I focus on my writing, I realize that I must broaden up my audience and reach people outside my circle of friends. Thanks to  WordPress  for example, I have read so many great tips about blogging, about the writing, about reviews among many other things. It gives me an idea of what is ahead, what is expected from me and how to deal with the process. It has been an amazing journey.

Please, don’t hesistate to share comments, tips or pointers. I try to keep things interesting around here.

i use facebook on a regular basis, not because i am addicted to it, but thats where i can keep in touch to some people that are dear to me. I thought about closing my account before, but turned out that sometimes it is hard to communicate to some people, hence the reason why i still use it…
